To universal acclaim, Reginald Louis Smyth was named Irish Fireballer of the decade at the annual dinner held in the National Yacht Club in November, 1999. We all appreciate the work Louis has put into the fleet, supporting and encouraging sailors of all ages and abilities, in his own inimitable, quiet manner. With the arrival of GBH, Louis’ talents seem to be going from strength to strength, and were it not for the small matter of sailing in the world championships, he would have added the the Frostbite Trophy to his collection.
