All of these roles are for team players, responsibilities may frequently overlap. The language of the Fireball Class is English but complete fluency in that language is not required, if you can speak enough English to be understood, help will be provided with written English. If you are interested in contributing to any of these posts please contact the commodore via email.

 

Class Secretary

This is the principle administrative role for the class. The responsibilities include:

Supplying class stickers to NCAs each year.

Supplying Plaques and Sail Numbers to Professional and amateur builders.

Working with the Treasurer to ensure membership records are correct and that appropriate fees are paid.

Answering enquiries and if necessary forwarding them to the right person. This will involve monitoring email and the FI Facebook group.

 

Development and Marketing Officer

This role is intended to help drive the class forward. The Development officer will liaise with all NCAs to help get the Fireball message across. 

Practically this will involve:

Supporting NCAs hosting or wishing to host international events.

Overseeing the promotion of International events held in non-Fireball countries.

Providing education materials to help NCAs with marketing.

Working with sponsors and potential sponsors.

 

 

 

ISAF Representative

This role is to stay close to ISAF to ensure that the Fireball Class is well represented there. This may involve travel to ISAF meetings where this is deemed to be useful. The ISAF representative will work closely with the Technical Officer and Chief Measurer to ensure that rule changes are approved promptly by ISAF.
