Hello, I have a brand new replacement rudder for a fireball. I was bidding on a boat missing a rudder on ebay, and at the last minute the bidding went way high and I lost out. I had already ordered the new rudder so I was pretty much stuck with it. After a while of searching for another fireball, I settled on a cheap Force 5 and am happy now. The rudder sat in my garage for a year when my 24' boat needed a new rudder, I showed the fireball rudder to a friend of mine who new how to fiberglass, and he agreed to Beef up the rudder using the blade as a core and build it up with glass. His first layer was awful, the resin had too much hardner and it never permiated the cloth, he just made a mess of it all, and I scrapped the idea. The the rudder just has some fiberglass cloth on it that needs to be pulled off and maybe sanded. nothing was cut, drilled or modified at all on the original blade. Its hard to read, but it looks like it is stamped "delange sailcraft or something, it was faint to begin with and now has resin over it. then a logo silouette of the boat and their number underneath, hard to read. email me at damien-7@earthlink.net for a few pictures.
