Fireball International wishes all Fireball friends a very successfull and windy season. Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the class by outting your boat in the water and sailing races all over the world.
The celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Fireball will start in Australia. The first pre-world race of the International Week / Australian National will be started December 29th 2011 at 1 pm (local time). The World Championship will beginn Monday January 2nd. Friday January 7th we will know the names of the Fireball World Champions 2012.
With the last of the pre-Christmas Frostbites being sailed in Dun laoghaire's harbour yesterday, 18th December, the curtain has fallen on the Irish racing scene for 2011.

Following the resignation of Chris Payne, Ben Schulz will take over as the new Rear Commodore Australasia on January 1st 2012. Ben is a seasoned Fireball sailor. He is well known in the international Fireball community, having attended many a major events all over the world. He was secretary / treasurer of the Fireball Australia for the past 5 years.
Fireball International welcomes the new Rear Commodore Australasia and wishes him many successes in and out of the water in the years to come.
