It’s come round very quickly. We are now only 5 weeks away from the start of the UK Fireball Nationals and Worlds.
So far we have 80 entries for the Worlds but, with the boats we know are still to enter, we should have 85 boats on the startline. But it would be great to get 90 or even 100 boats. So if you’ve yet to get your entry in, do it now.
The entry fee is very similar to Garda last year but includes a full social programme. There is something going on every night, including a sit-down dinner at a local hotel for the Worlds prizegiving. We’ve secured several £‘000s of prizes to give out from our sponsors Wetsuit Outlet, Allen Bros, P&B, Robline, Norths and West Systems. Most of the goodies will be given out at nightly draws, so everyone has a chance to win.
I’ve just been on Booking.com and there is still accommodation available from around £250 per person for the week and, if you have a campervan, the Yacht Club has arranged access to the local Cricket Club which is a short cycle ride away.
